I have an internal display with 1024x768 and an external on with
1680x1050. The login is screen is higher than 1050 pixels. I see no

I believe this is more system-wide than just the gnome applet and
network manager.
It happens the same on network-manager-kde , for the same reasons.
Also, removable media mounting doesn't work, for the same reasons.
Also, amarok can't detect any mp3 players, probably for the same
reasons.

application that would open with a double click. Even folders show "open
in a new window" as the first menu entry.
