gnome-settings-daemon segfaults in Hardy. package version
2.21.90.1-0ubuntu2. It segfaults if xscreensaver cannot be found. If I
create any runnable script or binary with name xscreensaver, it starts
OK.

XDMCP is enable on them
Connecting wtih x-win32 from a windows client works perfectly, conecting from a
debian sarge login windwo works too.
Conecting from login window of a gutsy client fails, I get mys severs list but
when choosing one, it came back to local log
hi since my last comment I tried some changes in /etc/default/acpi-support
and now I'm able to coming back from S3. I tried it twice 1 going to sleep and
moving to an other place
in this case suspend for more than 30 min and second shortly wakeup again after
suspend.

Upon further investigation it looks like the problem is with the Window Rules
plugin. If I enable this plugin, then restart the computer, the problem
appears. I just have to drag an icon around on the desktop and I get the big
gray bug. Disabling this plugin causes the problem to disappear immed

I understand the report, but that's not the idea of the .desktop files
and the normal users of Ubuntu don't except to have an "Open with" menu
entry on their launchers, that's too power users and may confuse them.

Apparently it does the same whichever commands are used: the first
command (for example, "filesystems") works, the second one (for example
"CPU") dumps core. Sometimes with a trace and Abort, sometimes with
segmentation fault.
