It's mostly a BIOS thing. Some BIOS hide C3/C4 when on AC power, and others
show only C3 which is really a C4 underneath when on battery. Note that the

Maybe the drop of arch should be coordinated with the coreutils adding
the same:
arch(1) is deprecated in favor of "uname -m" or arch(1) from coreutils
(>= 6.9+). The util-linux-ng package doesn't build arch by default,
you have to use the option --enable-arch.

Hotswapping still works with Gutsy, but it seems that I was wrong about
the host ID being consistent. The host ID is shifting with Gutsy too.

Saïvann is correct I found out about the bug #173890 when I was trying to
install Flash on Firefox, apt did stop the install but it did not report it to
the Synaptic Packet Manager.
