In an attempt to maximize power saving on my laptop, I ran powertop and it
suggested using this module option:
options snd_ac97_codec power_save=1
Now that this option is enabled, every time some audio is played there
is a loud pop from my speakers before the audio begins.
There is also a much more subtle pop when the sound is done playing, or
when the last audio application is closed. This one doesn't
particularly bother me since it is barely audible, but if that pop could
also be removed, that would be awesome.

If you read carefully the error message, you'll find out that the problem is
caused by package "firehol".
Remove firehol (sudo apt-get remove firehol) and then do "sudo apt-get update
&& sudo apt-get install computertemp"
That should make computertemo installable.

The link posted above states that by removing the bluez package, the
DiNovo set will work fine (without having to remove and re-insert the
USB Bluetooth dongle).

problem: In Edubuntu the clients connect via SSH. After people log out a

but I think there are actually 3 upstart files that need to pinned at
the edgy level. I used aptitude to downgrade, so whenever I pinned
one, the other two were downgraded automatically. But, you may want

This happens with me as well. Motherboard M2n-X plus with amd 64 x2

The problem only happens if I inset the card reader into the usb socket,
