I can confirm this bug. Same situation for me. Running "kdesu
systemsettings" opens the KDE 3 version of systemsettings. So no chance
to configure there. Only chance is to run
"/usr/lib/kde4/lib/kde4/libexec/kdesu /usr/lib/kde4/bin/systemsettings"
which opens the new systemsettings with root privil
it seems to happen only when i use the page to show ressources; when i
clik on it system become unresponsive instantly

With a closer look at gnome's bug #300832 i can say that one is not
related with this one.
Try on your own: Open a terminal. Then lock down the desktop with this command:

I have the same problem, and in the windows list (Lista de Ventanas) i
only can select the first window listed, not the second one, not the

I have the same problem here with Radeon 9550. I fixed it by booting
with Live CD, chroot to my root partition and aticonfig -f --initial
--overlay-type=Xv.
The annoying thing is that sometimes KDE loses its screen resolution
settings, jumps to highest possible (i.e. unusable) resolution and when
