ARGH
When I recompiled the kernel (Huge leap of faith for a noob) not only did it
not fix the keyboard but killed my wireless too. At this point I'd just like
to know what keyboard layout to select so that the standard 105 keys will work.

There seems to be no good reason for this, but it has the unfortunate
side effect of breaking printing on etherbooted clients
I can confirm this bug. It affects openoffice-dev package. I can't tell
if the bug is in that package, on if it is related to NetBeans
OpenOffice.org plugin.
The problem is that in wrappers located into /usr/lib/openoffice/sdk/linux/bin/
the command basename is used, but PATH isn't set.

001-mediawiki looks like a custom vhost to me - i believe only the
/etc/apache2/conf.d/mediawiki.conf is setup by the ubuntu/debian packages.

sure they are ubuntu packages your trying to install?
i dont recall having that symlink problem (linking the wrong way). make sure
you have -updates enabled, and then try again.

Same problem with amd64 version of the daily-live iso.
Problem cames up very quickly, at the very beginning of the boot, and
hdc seems to be my IDE cdrom. This weekend i will try to remove sata HD
and move cdrom in ide place…
