it wouldn't work properly with other wacom hardware (not all wacom
devices are built into screens, and it's unclear what to do when there
are multiple displays, and the user rotates one of them...).

Ok update about my xrandr update this effect is not permanent although
lasts for quite a bit. Maybe flicker starts again after display gets
powered off (by ACPI) not sure though of exact timing.

I also have this issue on Gutsy fresh install. I live in South Korea and after
installing Gutsy, it fails to install some elements of Openoffice.org packages.
I think this should be a "High" priority on launchpad. Is there any progress on

to install and then have it send a gui request form to an admin for

after more investigation i found that i could do the following
get to console 1 via CNTL-ALT + 1
login as normal user not root
execute sudo gdm
gdm starts up
switch to console 7
login as same normal user
get gold screen with white mouse cursor
then
CNTL+ATL + 2
login as normal user
execute
