I've been trying to update my Itanium workstation to Gutsy for quite
some time now. I even tried a 'clean' install only to roll back to
Feisty. Every time I try to upgrade IA64 to Gutsy, I see following

The only problem is that there are no files in /var/crash, so I have
nothing else I can send. It seems that by default core dumps are turned
off in Ubuntu (I've read /etc/security/limits.conf has to be edited to
allow these). I've edited this file, so perhaps I can generate a new

I have try on hardy alpha2. I have a OvisLink EVO-W54USB v2 usb dongle
(148f:2573).
The driver is in linux-image-2.6.24-2 package (not ubuntu restricted module as
in gutsy).
I need rt73usb to use my hardware. As for gutsy, rt2500usb is loaded but is not
necessary (but that's not a trouble).

This is actually a bug with the kernel as the network driver does not
seem to have been loaded. However, the dmesg log seems incomplete.

I was printing some 8 1/2 x 11 color photos today and they sat in the
print que for 4 mins. 30 seconds before sending to the printer. This
really is not very usable for prints this large. I have not made any
changes to the system since changing the lpadmin command as noted above.

ndiswrapper", and it worked after that.
It would nice if the native drivers were included in Ubuntu though.

When installing from ubiquity, if you're connected to a lan using a
wired connection, without connection to the internet, apt-get stalls
because it cannot find the repositories. This is visible in
/var/log/messages, but this is completely invisib
Same here with a HP 2510p running 7.10. It doesn't happen every time I
close the lid though, only about every fourth time.
The system completely locks up and the caps lock led is on. The system
does not react to pings and open ssh-sessions break, so it isn't just X
breaking.
