I Confirm this.
This is very old bug, and it is related to the fact that the above panel looks
at smbpasswd file
which isn't present anymore on newer samba.
It is possible to make samba use smbpasswd file, but it doesn't worth the
hassle since
even then this panel just shows the current users,
got the same problem now :(

for me the problem was solved by compiling my kernel with
"CONFIG_PATA_JMICRON=m"
Now the DVD-RW-Device is no longer detected as /dev/hdb, it is detected
as /dev/scd0 correctly.

I can confirm this behaviour, but it's not just when you enable
scrobbling in Banshee during the current session. It was happening to me
even though scrobbling had already been enabled (i.e., it was already

cdda2wav and cdparanoia working fine. With icedax, I get nearly the same
messages, though my system hangs completely when icedax is at 0% of the first
track. Then even killall -9 icedax won't work. Also not Sysrq keys (or they
take very long time). I just can switch to a VT and Rebo

After installng Ubuntu 7.10 in VMWare, the screen resolution is
1680x1050, which is much too high. When selecting System-> Preferences

On KUbuntu 7.10, installed kde-hal-device-manager 0.2 from repo.
The manger works well, but doesn give me what I need. I need to get partitions
UUID strings in easy way and put them to my fstab file to mount them. With this
KDE manger I cannot do that, because the device in
Gutsy network-manager was changed to only manage interfaces that are not
defined in /etc/network/interfaces file.

currently being rewritten, but you are able to install it via
add/remove. Make sure to read your nvidia driver's description. It

Printing pdfs from evince fails for me as well. All of my printers are
networked with native postscript. Evince hangs at 100% cpu after
printing until I exit evince. I can print to file (postscript format)

When a tag 1 or 2 characters long is applied to a file using tracker,
tracker searches for this tag fail.
(I can understand excluding single character tags but the files I was
trying to tag all relate to my "CV".)
