It seems that M3U files and PLS files (which are both used for webradio)
are handled differently when opened in Firefox - M3Us are opened in
Totem, PLSs are opened in Rhythmbox. This was observed with Gutsy.

restricted driver but Gutsy may have given me a cheap way around this
problem. I leave the nvidia restricted driver UNTOUCHED, left alone, and
I go with the generic one; then I go to the Screens and Graphics dialog
and choose a gene

Ok, yes, I was able to install Hardy just fine as long as /etc wasn't in
it's own partition. I think the priority should be adjusted on this. I
feel it's important for the install program to not permit the user to
choose a known non-working configuration.

Prior to the upgrade I had inserted the irqpoll option in /boot/grub/menu.lst
I looks like after the upgrade some of my kernel options were reset. I'll put

I had to find a way to print to my HP Laserjet 4000.
I compiled the latest cups. Still could not print.
I uninstalled/purged apparmor. Printing works fine now. Also, now the
audio on my video files work. Rather than cups, perhaps the problem was
with the implementation of apparmor?

If powerpc were actually getting that type of testing, these bugs
wouldn't be showing up. There's nothing about being a port that makes
it any harder to support. Community members are able to contribute to
the toolchain, the kernel, etc., as well as doing the testing.

I don't run it all the time but adept does crash frequently.
Nonetheless, whenever I try to search for xinerama it crashes miserably.
I've just gave it a try but this time there was no backtrace. This

When recording audio tracks light on harddrive turns yellow an
Nevermind about the BIOS. I checked and there are no options remotely
related to any of this. Sony went all out and lets me set the time,
date, startup animation preferences, boot order, and passwords. That is
all. It's the smallest BIOS options list I have ever seen.

data in the plugin released by adobe has changed.
Remember that the ubuntu package is just an installer. When you install the

After logging in it appears in two forms: with right encoding and with wrong
encoding as two different groups with the same set of users!
I can delete the wrong one of them, but after relogin it appears again

that the battery is only 78% charged after the battery charging LED has
finished blinking (so I assume the battery is 100% charged).

Thanks for the update. It seems things are better (ie suspend works),
but definitely not perfect yet. Do you see any interesting error
messages in either dmesg or maybe /var/log/kern.log.0 after you come
back from Hibernation? If so, please attach. Thanks!

I don't think that there is a Crash Report created, because the application
is still functioning. Just a single portion of the screen is no longer
updating. I tried to get a back-trace, but I could not get it to work. Is
there a simpler way to capture back-trace data?
