Synaptic does not only steal focus... it will actually switch the user
from one workspace to another!
I think this is a relatively new development. I don't remember this

Mouse, this appears to be another bug. While I cannot reproduce it in

Also, the Hardy Heron kernel was recently uploaded for testing. We'd
really appreciate it if you could try testing with this newer kernel and
verify if this issue still exists. Unfortunately, the Hardy Heron
Alpha1 LiveCD was released with the older 2.6.22 kernel. You'll have to

Can't comment on other releases, we only use LTS for our servers. I
do have one gutsy computer and when i run ldd on maildrop it doens't
list mysql as a linked library. I don't think that really means
anything - as of maildrop version 1.8 you have to use courier-auth for
mysql support (I think),
Actually, the default ipw3945 won't ever change in Gusty. You can
blacklist ipw3945 which will allow iwl3945 to load. Make sure you have
at least 14.38 of linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22.

I have this too. The window title font is slightly larger than it should
be. I actually thought this was a feature! To be honest, I like it; the
window title is important on-screen information, so it made sense to me
that it would be a little bigger.

I experience this same problem. Google Documents is very slow under
Firefox, especially when pressing page-down, to the point of being
unusable. GMail (JS-based, not HTML) is also nowhere near an quick as
under WinXP, but still usable for me. By comparison, the Open Office

This kind of change (adding mysql support) isn't the kind of change
which we would do in a stable release.
I would recommend checking Gutsy/Hardy now so that if it's still a
problem it can be corrected before Hardy is released (it will be the
next LTS release).
