I think it is. Although I can't test it, another machine being upgraded
while the driver is changed would also cause X to not start. The same
thing would happen if you decide to downgrade from the nv driver to
nvidia -- xorg.conf would point to the wrong driver.

Ah, okay. I agree, that it doesn't fix the bug. I printed two pages on
one, which results in good quality. Printing one page still gives bad
quality output. Also I notice, that formulas are printed correctly,
while normal text is not.

I don't have "Master" in alsamixer.
I was able to fix this though by double-clicking on the Sound-icon on
the uhm startmenu bar, and raise PCM to full.
But then next time I install Ubuntu, maybe I have todo it again, and other new

The problem is still there in Ubuntu 7.10.
I have files on /home2/username/... where /home2 is a separate disk.
If I select one of these file in Nautilus and then select the context
menu "move to trash", I get the popup message "Cannot move to trash, do
you want to delete immediately?"
My favoured workaround right now is to install the Debian Sid version of
this package.
