Alpha 1 this doesn't seem to be the case: compiz tries to start, and I

Booting Ubuntu 7.10 causes my 500 Mhz iMac G3 to shut down hard 3
seconds after I pressed ENTER in yaboot. By "shut down hard" I mean that
the power button won't work, and the only way to restart the computer is
by re-plugging into the electrical socket. Passing "video=ofonly"
hmm, strange it works for me. Is there away that I can get a login on
the machine, and take a look at what is going on?

installing any mp3 decoder. Totem opened and crashed.

I have the same problem. For those who don't want to recompile gnome-ppp
this will do the trick: rename wvdial to wvdial.bin and put the
following script in place of wvdial:
#!/bin/bash
wvdial.bin 2>&1 | sed -u "s/[^:]*:/-->/" 1>&2
At least it works for me.

Well, I tried it on a Gutsy with a FAT32 partition. It works fine. Since
I converted it to NTSF I can reproduce the bug.
