Thanks so much for the response. I ended up getting frustrated trying
stuff, that i completely reinstalled 6.06 and upgraded from that version

I have the same problem as bug #42199 but in my system this only happens
with attached mails.
I detected this problem while trying to use dpkg-source -x *.dsc and
this make it freeze, because dpkg-source is a perl script i can't gdb it
so i tired strace:

This has been fixed upstream. Now if a file is *not* read-able, gnome-bt
will pop-up a "Permission Denied" window that will prevent the download
to start. Thanks for your report,

Unfortunately I cannot find an easy way of printing a screenshot while
maintaining the mouse pointer on the screen and/or the highlighted
region. When I try using the PrtScr key, the cursor changes and the
previously highlighted button loses the focus.
Actually, it's quite simple to reproduce it:
I just reproduced with your xorg.conf the exact same behaviour... I can not
quite explain it either. I've tried multipe xorg.conf's now and nothing seems
to help. The only thing that i found so far that describes the symptoms is this
bug-entry. I just hope the debug information i send might help

Found a mixer setting that worked:
1) open gnome-volume-control (in a terminal i guess; can't find it in menus)
2) Edit -> Preference , and check all the unchecked box
3) Make sure there is no item with it's volume at zero, or an icon barred by a
red cross, including "capture m
