Thanks for your bug report, that's the way the gnome-terminal works when
you open a new tab, it create a new "tab" on the window that cut a
couple of lines from the first, second or third buffer, if you close all
of them and return to the original buffer (number 1) the lines are there
in the buffer

Guys, i have already explain that this is a soyuz bug (aka launchpad).
Unfortunatly the first fix was rolled out but incomplete.
The problem is not in vmware-server and I can guarantee all of you that

Just tested 2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 (don't know why, it seems 2.3.0-1ubuntu5.2
never appeared on any gutsy-proposed mirror).
The fix works for Installing new dictionnairies, I suppose for all
macros too. It works as expected, doesn't crash at all.

Ubuntu on my machine says Edgy Eft. I got it to work, I was just
pointing out the installer was supposed to add it to the menus so I
could get to the preference settings.
