the legacy driver does not work with compiz.

Public bug reported:
I installed OpenOffice under Xubuntu Gutsy, but no icons were shown. I
guess OpenOffice doesn't recognise the human theme if the userinterface
of Xubuntu is not set to the human theme. I guess this can easily (maybe
temporarily) be fixed by including the tango theme ("openoffi

I'm still unable to get the microphone working, but arecord does seem to

Thanks

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
On upgrading to Gutsy RC from Feisty, X gives a blank screen on an eMac G4
1.25Ghz. There are no obvious error messages
in Xorg.0.log. Is this similar to the Mac Mini issue for the gutsy ati driver
(which I also got bitten by) and
I'm changing the status to incomplete, because it has been noticed. I am
nearly sure it is a duplicate of #131094 although I'd love it if jackdaw
coould confirm it. Also changing the affected package, as it doesn't
happen with old Feisty kernel (another hint of duplicity).

I just looked at the bug report and I do not see what the problem is. I
thought I clearly explained my system configuration and symptoms I believe
are related to the bug.
What EXACTLY is unusuable to you? Can you embellish on why you think I do
not understand the bug I am reporting?
