I have a similar problem here: I just installed ubuntu 7.04 and then immediatly
upgraded to the newest gutsy RC.
When i try to activate desktop effects from the new "appearance" control panel
all I get is "desktop effects can not be enabled". I also tried to run "compiz

Installed the dbgsyms. Does not seem to be simply reproducible, though.
It does not crash. Will continue trying.

If a site uses multiple alternate stylesheets, and the default
stylesheet is not listed first, the layout is usually, but not always,
corrupted. No similar problem exists in Opera.

If you have compiz enabled please deactivate it since it has a similar

Same bug here with intel video card, I had to downgrade to make it work again
(downgrading the intel driver wasn't enough, the kernel was probably to blame):
