I just tried to load the hdaps module on my T61p, and it still doesn't
work.
As far as I can tell, it is because the vendor in the whitelist is
listed as IBM, when it in my dmidecode output is LENOVO. Also it
shouldn't be necessary to have entries for both T61 and T61p, according
to the comment at
It's not that sound stops (I had that, can deal with it) but resume doesn't
work at all. All I see is a yellow "Linu" on the screen (near the top), not
even Crtl-Alt-Delete helps after that. Only hard reset.

If it's only the transcode step that takes a long time, then it's
probably the backend for whichever form you're transcoding to, not
dvdrip. dvd::rip doesn't do any transcoding itself.

I have the same problem
The new gnome screen tool sets the "virtual" in the xorg.conf for my main
screen to 1600x1200 for some reason. (it's 1280x768, which is set correctly).
I edited it manually, but that's just a workaround

The program doesn't crash, and the behavior is not reproducible when
running under strace - or gdb, for that matter. Is there any other
debugging information that I can provide?

This is an "artificial" screenshot made with the gimp to illustrate the
problem. Taking a regular screenshot produces a non distorted 1440x900
image.

If I start the computer, in Ubuntu Gusty (updated) , with a CD inside,
it isn't mounted, it can't be unmounted, can't expel it, neither using

I am sure that I am using it in FAT32 to share files between Windows and
Linux in an Acer notebook. Still I wonder why I get different results of
same kind of command. (For some reason, the Windows XP of the computer
has FAT32 partitions, not NTFS, and I don't know, if Linux handles the
latter tha
I can confirm this under gutsy. It hangs when someone aborts a download,
it's fine after a restart.
