I also can confirm this with an NVIDIA 6150 integrated chipset when
trying to setup dual screens (default=1280x800, and 1280x1024 external
monitor) when using the Gutsy screens and graphics tool with restricted
driver enabled. After X is restarted, both screens dump to highest

Recently, I've successfully upgraded from feisty to gutsy.
Everything is great except xvideo.
When playing video using xvideo, I can see only black screen.

I can add that I must always right-click on the desktop and make a window
appear before Kicker appears to the screen, but when a popup menu covers the
kicker window, then the kicker window disappears.

Alright, this is strange. I Installed the mainstream version and it
didn't work so I uninstalled and then reinstalled Ubuntu's OOo through
Synaptic. Now it works, but the colors have changed from white to grey.
Format seems to work now, but the box now takes up the entire screen.

* Improve 04_r4006-improve-detection.dpatch
The version shipping in gutsy doesn't match the kernel modules. The
kernel modules are from the 1.0 series, whereas our package is the 0.10
series.
Consequently the ivtv utilities don't function (ivtv-tune for channel
changing and FM support). The new upstream version does however work.

Problem also occurs here on KDE : all the windows disappear until I
right-click on the desktop and open the "run" window. Then, when I open
a popup menu that covers my kicker window, all the windows disappear
again until I re-open the "run" window.

I've seen bugs close to this reported already: #138348, #139079. My
hardware seems to be different enough from these to report a new one.
As the partitions are read only on resume, I have attached screen shots
of the xconsole output.

i have maximized the gnome-terminal and it have a space/border around the
window.
i think this is noch correct. if i disable compiz the window will fullscreened.

attached is the mail exported by evolution - hope this is possible to
import. Otherwise I can forward you this e-mail (using Thunderbird
and/or evolution ?).
The preferred browser command is "use the preferences of the browser".
The default browser is, of course, firefox.
