Nick, when the child window has no entry in the taskbar (e.g., a dialog
box) and appears behind the currently focused window, there's no way to
know it's there. The correct way is to make it appear on top of the
parent window, as Metacity does, and thus on the same workspace.

I didn't realise that "sudo ndiswrapper -m" and "sudo ndiswrapper -ma"
differed in that way.
So thank you very much for this information.
Strangely enough, though, under Feisty I did manage to get ndiswrapper
boot automatically, merely by doing "sudo ndiswrapper -m", while
BTW this doesn't only happen while suspending, my domU had been running
for several days without intervention.

I've found a solution to the problem,
First as root rename the file "kuserui.rc.backup.*" in "kuserui.rc" in
the directory /usr/share/apps/kuser/
Then as your user do,
~/.kde/share/apps/kuser$ cp -R /usr/share/apps/kuser/ ./
After this it works as expected.

issues in latest gutsy, please reopen and post your /var/log/syslog
