I started rhythmbox in a default install.
To the left of the main content area, at the LHS of part of the window
under the time-in-track slider, is a tree/navigation window with
sections "Library" and "Playlists". The actual items in here have
tracker-extract also self destructs after 10 secs if metadata is not
extracted by then (or if it tries to consume more than 128MB ram)
we should really prevent tracker-extract crashes being reported as such

I've tried removing gtk-qt-engine and executing it as root, but it's still
there. However, it seems that moveing .themes to other place solve the
problem.

Actually, no. Applications that access CUPS directly e.g. Firefox,
OpenOffice or via gnomeprint work fine. Only those that use gtkprint
don't, so this is definitely a gtkprint problem.

Right now I have Gutsy Gibbon/Feisty Fawn running on the Asus M6N and
RAM reading and writing works at normal file sizes. I have ot tried to
write files bigger than 1GB where some others mentioned the same problem
occured.

So the bug appears to be caused by the use of sysfs on these boxes and
_should_ be fixed in gutsy if I am reading everything correctly. The
debian bug (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=422077) has
the patch applied to xorg-server 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-5 and it appears that
gutsy is using

Yes, it was misleading (if you don't read and *think* about it carefully!) but
ultimately it installed the correct 32-bit updates.
Maybe I was confused by it more because I'm heavily into 64- and 32-bit
development work and always having to double-check which target I'm building
for.

It looks like most of the affected systems are laptops.
My screen is reported as LVDS. Bryce, what do xresprobe and xrandr say about
your display?
Could there be a difference between how LVDS and other types of displays are
treated?

Why was this bug marked as a duplicate of bug #138726? Tabs are working
fine for me, and I've not installed the qt package mentioned there.
This bug is about a specific message, probably introduced by changes in

I had this similar situation where ctrl+alt+left would jump two
workspaces to the left each time. Similarly for right.
I fixed it by going to gconf-editor,
/apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options, and removing the value 'wall'
from the key 'active_plugins'.

Here's the syslog that fails to connect (and with Gutsy, will not attempt to
connect again even if I click on PAL2.0 from the NM menu) without crashing. I'm
realizing that it crashes a lot more than I thought, though, and I can only get
the crash on PAL2.0.
