I can confirm this bug, too.
KMail version 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu6 on Ubuntu Feisty.
Mails are fetched from a POP3 server - hence not a protocol issue.
The KMail configuration and Emails were imported from a previous Ubuntu version

My Z61m with INTEL (!) GMA 950 graphics card suspends to RAM and resumes

No, we wont support xrandr 1.2 for Gutsy. It will be targeted for
Gutsy+1. There are still a lot of cards that do not support xrandr1.2.
So we have to integrate it into the current framework.

I think this really is a bug in vte, since I can see this on feisty with
nvidia binary driver, but only on a terminal that is running screen on
another computer (Tru64). There is something wrong in the way the
terminal is refreshed, since I also get corruption on a screen window

I think that only hibernate should be disabled, having suspend in the
Live CD environment is useful for testing.

Fixed in my local repository. Will be fixed after the beta release.
Thanks for the patch, although it was quite easy to fix. In the future I
would recommend to use "diff -ruN" or "bzr diff" to create patches. It
improves readability.
