I have same identical problem with my Dell laptop (intel 810 based
card). When I upgraded Feisty to Gutsy I get in trouble with this
problem (about one month ago) and I still have it.
I found only one method to always reproduce it otherwise it is very random (and
of course only with compiz enable
I can confirm this bug for Feisty.
Additionally, I had to install python2.4, otherwise it gave this error:

Same problem with an USB wireless card Encore ENUWI-G2.
After update of Kernel 2.6.22-11 to 2.6.22-12 the wireless Lan was not
even detected.
If I tried to boot with the old Kernel, the wireless Lan is detected but
I can not connect to it. It keeps asking for the WEP password one time
after anoth
Well I'm using the bleeding-edge Gutsy and it's no better. At one point
gutsy actually did work if I used the model fix in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-
base, but now that doesn't help.

Resume-from-suspend still has some issues, like the network interfaces

happen for every document that you try? If not can you include a
document that causes this problem to appear?

Yes this theme is perfect (I think that kHz, Kbps and mono stereo will
be added to this skin for the release) , the next release will be
perfect and actually can fully replace xmms for me :)
adding a system to change the skin at all change of song (like xmms) can
be a good new feature.

real bug here is that udev-udeb doesn't contain cdrom_id.

I'm not certain but this seems like a compiz bug. I tried switching my
theme to crux and enabled compiz and it caused Thunderbird and Firefox
to effectively crash as well on my system (hang and couldn't repaint its
screen).
So it is possible this is an OpenOffice bug but if it is then other
progra

My symptoms: on my notebook (Dell Inspiron 8600 w/ ATI Mobile Radeon
RV350 (M10)), the new driver causes the LCD to be blank, with odd-
colored vertical lines appearing somewhat randomly, and the entire
screen fading very slowly to white).
Reverting back to xserver-xorg-video-ati_6.6.3-2ubuntu6_i3
