This still happens in Gutsy but a fix is much more easier.
It is a good idea to lock screen on suspend/hibernate only if people want it.
Everybody who enables screen saver locking wants to lock screen on
suspend/hinbernate too.
The easiest solution for this is to enable the gconf option

I wondered if this bug might be fixed in the recent kernel update that
was distributed for 7.04 Feisty, but it seems not. The update restored

Yep, the bug is still present, running KDevelop 3.4.0 (when new versions
become available through www.kubuntu.org I usually get them, I don't
remember if this is the starting version for Feisty but the bug has
stayed the whole time I've been running Feisty).

On the line that reads "EndMode#", can you try to remove the # sign and
then try displayconfig-gtk? It looks like displayconfig-gtk may have a
bug in parsing the xorg.conf file.

You can always change your resolution. I believe it defaults to the
highest mode detected as supported both by your video card and your
monitor, so this is heavily hardware-dependent. On most systems, it
