Poked into this tonight. Turns out a variable is dereferenced when it's
not being set. I've patched the source, and hobbsee was about, and has
uploaded a patch. We'll see if the autoclose magic works

Well, USE_LOCAL_SWAP is now "no" by default. I think we should just
document that hideous data loss on sleeping machines is possible if you
change it from the default, which, really, is going to be a very small
subset of people using it.

I can't reproduce that here on either Edubuntu 6.10, or 7.04. Then
again, I don't have VMWare, and as such, I'm not going to warrent things

Oh, just had an idea, and added it. Now, ltsp-update-image checks for a
mounted /proc in the chroot, and if it's there, exits. Should prevent
this sort of thing from happening unexpectedly in the future.

On my Dell GX110 Small Form Factor machine on 6.10 Dapper Drake, opening
a akregator feed in a tab in the internal browser that causes a notice
about "popup block options" has caused the same problem three times
(including once after the latest kdelib upgrade).
The problem is

This popped up the other day, and we talked about it quickly in #ubuntu-
devel.
The problem is due to the fact that the /etc/event.d/ctl-alt-delete file does a
full shutdown, which
does things like unmount nbd mounts before it's finished shutting down. Two
solutions exist:
1) Changing the shut

I did the same step, and, once again it didn't crash, it just froze...But, when
I reproduce the crash outside the crashing-debugging program, it crash, and
doesn't freeze :)
