(prio 7)'. See src/trackerd/tracker-ioprio.c.

on gutsy when i try to connect to a wpa2-pks network the system freezes.
the modules loaded are rt73usb and rt2x00usb if i do lsmod.
The system freezes even if i try to connect to an open network (no encryption
at all!)

yeah disabling ht would be good thing for now in feisty.
The integrated WLAN Chip (miniPCI) sits very near the cpu so when the
cpu gets to hot the card will broke down. (I experienced this
already :( )
What you also could try is disabling apic in the boot options.

upgrade to gutsy by following the workaround instructions for that bug.
The workaround is that you change your timezone to Europe/Berlin and
then do the upgrade to gutsy or if you just did a failed upgrade, you

I've found a workaround that works for me.
$ rm -rf $HOME/.update-manager-core
$ update-manager -d # "upgrade" button should appear
What's more, I can reliably reproduce this bug by doing this:
$ rm -rf $HOME/.update-manager-core
$ update-manager
$ update-manager -d # and now it won't be possible
