I've attached a file from /var/crash that (hopefully) outlines what is
happening. I've experienced this crash on both Xubuntu Gutsy Gibbon
AMD64-alternate and -I386-desktop cd. The first test was from the iso

I have a similar problem. I am using a MacBook and the Bluetooh mouse
from Apple. When I reverse mouse buttons, I get the same behavior.
I think it's an xorg issue; I saw the same behavior with USB mouse with
X terminals, even though I am unsure of how to reproduce this problem
with other setups.
After the last time, it didn't even recognise the CD anymore. It did
recognise a commercial audio CD. The CD had been previously verified. So
I restarted with an old DVD-ROM plugged in instead. 4th try, this time
with 810 packaged to get, failed too, again with a different error:

in the /var/crash directory, it may be useful to attach to this bug.

I have a crash report which I think fits this bug. Please find it
attached. I was trying to close an instance of Firefox from the panel
using the right click menu, when beryl crashed.

In 1.8.1.4-1ubuntu2 of the package, an undocumented magic macro
MOZILLA_1_8 _BRANCH must be defined or else the library is unusable.
This might make sense internally in Mozilla (thought not really, imo)
but it's pretty bad for teh stand-alone
