The problem you are having is a different issue. Please don't hijack
bugs. What you probably have is a mirror that isn't fully updated.

Tried commenting out the eth0 in the /etc/network. No effect. This is
not related to whether the wireless is connected to the router or not
either. Everything around me is ecrypted and I have not yet entered the

Update, I have not thoroughly tested it yet, but it appears that I fixed
the problem.
Steps:
1 - Download ndiswrapper (attachment included), stick it on a flash drive or cd
and then bring it to the computer with no internet. Transfer it over, un tar
it , cd to the directory created, run "make u

My system still crashed when not using firefox, but was stable for much
longer (a few days). Once I started using firefox again, I experienced a
crash within a couple minutes of using it (specifically, when I tried
bookmarking a page, although this isn't necessarily repeatable).

To reproduce it :
1) Install mpg321 package.
2) Open nautilus in an EMPTY folder.
3) Put a MP3 in it (I suppose it works with other files too).
4) Select the file.
5) Put your mouse on it an listen to the preview.

reproduce this bug on 0.12.4 on Feisty. We'll be needing more
information.

I can also report the same bug on my sister's Fujitsu Amilo laptop, with Feisty
2.6.20-16-generic. HIBERNATE_MODE=platform did not help, whereas it did the job
on my lenovo T60.

Just another tip, now with the sata disk disconnected the lspci shows
only an IDE controller, the SATA is disappeared:
