other one is not! From the working machine I can unmount either one of
the volumes in the external drive (the other volume is not automatically

Actually the links are already fine and dandy, all that's

If I try to connect the first time, NetworkManager sets the wrong
channel (at least, according to iwconfig). If I tell it to connect
again, before it times out, it associates with the AP correctly - but
