In Dapper "Alt left+Alt right" did switch through the keyboard layouts

I came to check for an aswer and noticed there might be confusion in my
first post.
When I typed "I was only reading/copying data FROM it", I meant :
BEFORE I tried to eject the drive, I only used it to read/copy data from the
disk. At the time I tried to eject the disk, all nautilus windows were
