Ohh, yes... I suppose I could have generated the debdiff against the
debian package instead of the ubuntu one. Will keep that in mind for

Your bug seems to be a duplicate of bug #43961, some people report that
the problem is fixed for them under Feisty (Final Release), if that's
not the case for you, could you attach the output of :
$ lspci -vv >
This does not seem to be true in Dapper and later. Also, note that in running
the example, I had to supply the -h option to chgrp in order to affect sym
rather than dir/.
ls -ld is probably more appropriate to this test than ls -la.

The dialog in gnome-app-install is only a workaround for a missing
feature of the GNOME menu. Bascially we ship all the information with
gnome-app-install in the app-install-data-* packages. So
applications/packages not known to gnome-app-install cannot be handeled.

Debian bug 307406 is marked as fixed with xserver 1.3, which is now in Gutsy.
I'm going to go ahead and assume this to be the case and close the bug, but if
someone could test it on gutsy at some point, then please reopen if it still
occurs.
