I noticed that I was using laptop-mode instead of using Gnome power

What'll happen if there is no duplicates?
I really beleive that the problem exposed by firefox is caused by other
component of the system.
As I stated I've got random X program crashes. I've also got the situation when
my USB keyboard is lost and I have to disconnect/reconnect
it to make it back.
CUPS uses PAM for authentication. Perhaps there is some configuration
of /etc/pam.d/cups that can help you?

Thank you for your bug. That's because the translations are shipped with
language packs and not the application. Most applications use the
translations from feisty, evolution changed its versionning and
translation domain though so it has no translation until the first gutsy
language pack. Closing

When my computer crashes it stop on the last software i used like a freeze.
Sometimes it's rebooting sometimes i have to push the power on buttton to
reboot it.
Computer isn't overclocked ... it isn't overheating with nv driver.

For me, sometimes it works (several times in a row) and then it does not
work anymore. I did not figure out quite what exactly is different from
case to case.
This should just be mentioned to emphasise that yes, it could be some
software component used by KDE and/or Gnome but not by Xfce that make
Feisty and Edgy are concerned at my end.
Dapper used to work (not in the pre-releases though).
Edgy never powered down.
Feisty powers down frequently but not all the time (50:50).

ok wait, there are 2 indexing processes. the first indexes
applications (and it lasts in few minutes) and the second indexes
documentation (that one is very long)
I'm attaching the application indexing log, as I think that it is
enough to understand the bug

beagle-build-index uses 100% of cpu
the cpu is always used at 100%, no matter which file is indexed.
since the index operation will always last more than 20 minutes I
think that the index is completely rebuildt every time. I'm doing the
log files now.
There are some errors when trying to index screensaver files (the
extension is .de
the two files are very similar. so I think that the index is deleted and
rebuilt without any check

It's nothing to do with Ubuntu, and is not going to cause problems in
the immediate future. The Debian maintainer did it, and I see little
reason to deviate just for that. They'll be the one sorting it out if an
issue arises.
