The following bug happens when using Openoffice.org 2.2, both in windows

No drop caps are shown in writer. You can see the grey highlight where the drop
caps shoud be shown, but the characters are shown like they were shown be

These are very old reports that look like people with bad configurations
mostly. If there is still a problem with gdm in debian testing I think
there would be newer reports than 2005. Since testing is always changing
and there are no recent problems I suggest we close this report.

Okay. Indeed - the issue is that update-notifier needs to be installed. The
package fails elsewise. I'll add this to the packaging. For now, install
update-notifier manually followed by mythtv-database. Update-notifier
creates that directory.

Please can you post the following additional information, (please pay attention
to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team:
1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response.
If you can, can you run the dmesg command straight after you've resumed, and
have started to see the problems?
If gnome crashes, you should be able to get into a terminal by pressing Ctrl -
Alt - F1. Gdm is on F7, and there is terminals on F1 - F6.

Texts written in typefaces "Balker" and "Chancery Uralic" in bold are goofed up

I think I can confirm this bug.
I also use an IBM ThinkPad T41p (2373-GHG). Suspend worked fine without any
configuration and with standard fglrx-driver on Edgy. With the realease of
Feisty I did a complete ne
gscan2pdf worked for me. If you mainly need to scan documents and not images
it's a 'workaround'. I just downloaded and installed the following package.

After installing the ubuntu-serverguide package, the directory
/usr/share/ubuntu-serverguide/html/C is empty. It looks like we are not
shipping the original language with the ubuntu-serverguide package, and
only shipping the translations.

Please help! I am a 82 year old newbie. All I want is for my Logitech
Quickcam Messenger to work with Feisty. I've never been able to get it
to work with Edgy either. I must have spent at least 10 hours following
various recommended installation procedures from the web, which all
claim to work.
I'm getting exactly the same thing with a clean install of Ubuntu Feisty
(final, not beta), Amarok 1.4.5 (using KDE 3.5.6). I have MP3 support
(via libxine1-ffmpeg), which works fine with other MP3s. The stand-
alone last.fm client works fine.

I have the same problem too, but I wasn't able to boot with Ben's advice
because if I use break=top, I can't write anything on busybox. This
should be the case because I use an USB keyboard that is normaly
detected after tty access error.
