I was about to report the same thing; mine is a Toshiba Equium A100-306. It
does appear to switch off fully (screen fully black, no disc sounds, onlight
goes off), but there is obviously something still eating power (I think about a
50% drain over night; totally flat left in hibernate for 5 day

I do use compose, but in Gnome's settings I set compose to be right-alt
(which was otherwise unused, I think). Maybe in KDE right-alt does
something different already, so setting compose to r-alt didn't work for
me then.

It appears I am having this problem in Feisty on Thinkpad T40. The

Many thanks for the advice. I followed both suggestions.

And since his amule version (and probably some libs, like wxwidgets) are
not from Ubuntu, we can't do anything with this, so I'm closing this
report.
Please, feel free to reopen it again if it still happens with the ubuntu
packages.

Same loop here. Seemed to be caused by old Mitsumi CDROM drive. I used
another old drive (Phillips CDRW) and it is installing as I am writing
this.

I checked the firmware at http://prism54.org/fullmac.html and it is the
same as /lib/firmware/2.6.20-15-generic/isl3890 so this is definitely a

Please all of you that are experiencing the same behavior (I confess
that I'm unable to reproduce it myself :-P ), can you attach to [1]
either the full crash report from /var/crash/ (if any); or a gdb retrace
as explained at [2] or [3].

class Option in app.py uses int values 0, 1 to set user preferences.
When user change a preference in a checkbox that value was changed to boolean
True or False.
That's why only two values options were giving problems.
Hacked to convert back each boolean to 0 or 1 from custom options file so that
