I think this bug can be closed. From what I recall, the .htoprc file is
actually generated and saved by htop every time you close the program,
and it turns out that the upstream author does not necessarily make an
attempt to ensure that newer versions of htop will be backwards
compatible with older
Confirmed for Epiphany web browser. This bug is also absent in Nautilus,
Gedit, GIMP, Terminal, and OpenOffice.org Writer. As far as I can tell,
this is specific to Firefox (and Thunderbird).

OK, I have uploaded a package for Gutsy. My apologies for not getting
it into Feisty but I had to get all the dependent libs built first.
Once it gets accepted I'll post here. It does build/work in feisty so
you could build the package in Feisty once the source package gets
through the NEW queue.
It seems that this problem is not related to zone. I'm pretty sure zone makes
no difference to this problem.
However, I've just figured out that it only occurs (and occurs consistantly)
when using emacs-snapshot-gtk. It doesn't occur if I run "/usr/bin/emacs21".

After trying various offline upgrades, I reinstalled 6.10 again, and
then upgraded from the internet. The upgrade went really fine, no
problem at all. I saw some improvements, most notably a Gaim status bug
fixed, and my photo camera is recognized.

Downloaded the vpnc sources and removed the 06 line as stated. I got a
error trying to compile the Debian way, so I just removed the vpnc
packages then just make, make install and my vpnc is now working
perfectly again.
I think this is pretty serious big, and seems fairly simple to fix, at

The XPS 410 and E520 are essentially the same system, so this issue
affects both.
Front and rear mics are not working in ubuntu gold 7.04 desktop.

I have the same problem here. My laptop is one Acer Aspire 3003LCi and
on shutdown/reboot there's no splash screen, just text mode, and the
same message 'bog1_init failed : reading screen info : Inappropriate

First, after i updated from edgy to feisty i had no swap at all, because the
UUID in /etc/fstab was a wrong one.
I fixed this, by putting the correct UUID from the command "vol_id".

i can confirm this.
on my laptop running ubuntu feisty 7.04, sleep works but on wake up no screen
but black and freezing.

I have the same problem, all settings under the printer properties are
set to Letter, yet Evolution still tries to print to A4. Manually
changing the DefaultXX lines in /etc/cups/ppd/.ppd to "Letter" from
"A4" allowed it to print to Letter. Which indicates to me it is a
problem outside of Evolu

Mplayer and VLC for that matter, won't play over a smb share in Edgy or
Feisty. The only way I could ever get them working was to do a nfs
share. Totem will play over smb, but often with reduced performance
(video stumbling, etc.)

I would actually be in favor of having this printed the first time
mingetty is spawned on each VT, rather than putting it in /etc/issue.
That way the /etc/issue message could stay at one line and the message
wouldn't have to be printed repeatedly for users who use the VTs a lot.
