This is my first bug report to please bare with me.
I have updated to 7.04. Upon bootup the system will crash within about
ten minutes due to the rt61 kernel module. After adding rt61 to the
black list the system does not freeze anymore.

So it would be a nice thing to see an update to alsa-driver-1.0.14rc3

network manager. Networking now works . It must be something to do with
the network manager with my type of laptop . Did the same upgrade on my

keyboard is selected. Ş and Ţ are both incorrectly represent using cedillas

OK seriously, that can happen due to simple mislabeling. It could be the
database of device IDs is incorrect or the card itself simply has the
wrong identity set in its BIOS. I think it's the former because the
binary nvidia driver seems to detect it

HI, it's me again,
now I tried to install Feisty via the alternate CD. This time, it failed
again. But the GRUB error changed. Now it is GRUB error 17. And the
fatal surplus: I cannot reboot anymore via cd-rom/ide. The computer
stops with the GRUB-error and I cannot use the keyboard anymore.
But
no nothing else used...I used synaptic to install the nvidia-glx-new
packages...never installed legacy drivers..now im using the manual
installation or else i wont be able to get into graphical interface

I was faced with the problem some seconds ago now. I was very suprised that the
libraries mentioned in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ where not found and then saw the file
name problem.
Is there a decision about the names of the files?

Interesting. I thought the problem might have been NVidia related
because I read some stuff about the libpata (?) driver for NVidia and
that they changed things around. I have a Asus A8N-VM CSM myself, but
the SIL3114 is really different from my 'IDE interface: nVidia
