edgy, which (IIRC) used the vesa driver by default. I suspect that
Feisty used the 'nv' driver instead.
The /etc/X11/xorg.conf file actually listed higher resolutions than
800x600 (including some rather odd ones), but the gnome-di

Couldn't you just include an option in the installer that says,
Use full space with a 200MB /boot partition (use if you previously got a
GRUB 18 error)
That way, the vast majority don't run into the problems listed above,

I got the same bug with compiz, AIGLX and nvidia drivers on feisty.
Actually the problem is not with the autoscrolling feature but with firefox's
rendering of "position: fixed" styled elements. (The multi-arrow circle which
is displayed using autoscrolling is actually implemented as an element in

Also confirmed here with kernel 2.6.20 (Feisty Fawn 7.04):

As a soft workaround, blacklisting the modules has worked perfectly.
