Hi.. Yes, this is still an issue in the 2.6.20-15 kernel.
The problem seems to be that the rt2570 driver does not work with my usb
D-link. Currently I have fixed the problem myself by doing the

In fact, if I start Ubuntu, suspend, and then start vmplayer for the
first time, I have the same problem. If I start Ubuntu, suspend, then
restart vmware-player, then run vmplayer. all is fine.
