I can confirm this on Kubuntu 7.04. My guess is that there might be some
processes blocking the shutdown: If I have a fresh login, KDE shutdown
mostly works. If I enter "sudo shutdown now" into the terminal the PC
shuts down instantly. Maybe the KDE shutdown buttons need to be a little
more aggress

I am still on edgy, so i can't test if it changed. But yes, it happens
everytime, so if you don't see the bug on feisty it's probably gone.
