Never mind, the .debs did show up a day later.
I still can't boot my server with them because (a) the (EVMS) dm_bbr
patch isn't included in the xen-source-2.6.19 package, and (b) when
added, the dm_bbr module won't build under 2.6.19 anyway ... but that's
an EVMS problem, not a Xen problem. =)

Not a control-center bug, whatever the application do should not impact
on the computer, unassigning, maybe somebody will have an idea an work
on it, though the bug rate on launchpad is crazy at the moment and it's
likely nobody will work on it any time soon. Do you have any indication

Hi, I just downloaded Feisty and tried to create root crypto disk with command:
cryptsetup create croot /dev/hda4
(I would then copy the existing root there and rebuilt initrd).
But get the same error:
Command failed: Incompatible libdevmapper 1.02.08 (2006-07-17)(compat)
and kernel driver.

Here it also does not work (Feisty). Feisty installs Python 2.5 as
standard Python version. When I run simple-backup-config under Python
2.4, it runs and saves the configuration.
So the workaround is:
To run it under Python 2.4, change the first line of
/usr/sbin/simple-backup-config to read:

The amd64 architecture is for AMD64 or EM64T (core 2 duo has EM64T) so
it makes sense to use it. I also see what you describe--for a second I
get a flashing cursor then it dies.

Nope, this is no longer an issue for me. I believe the crash was due to
memory issues (mainly lack of memory). Thunderbird still crashes
occasionally but not while composing messages.

Yes it is. Thunderbird continues to crash when left running over night
(or for long periods of time). I think it might be a memory issue, but
I don't know for sure.
