This is very likely a missing build-dep. /usr/lib/libscim-
gtkutils-1.0.so is a symlink pointing to /usr/lib/libscim-
gtkutils-1.0.so.8.1.0, which is contained inside scim-gtk2-immodule

On an install from the desktop CD (which is what this bug is about),

My edgy has the same problem.
But I get even more unreadable text because of (I think) the anti-
aliasing on the font once the progress bar has advanced past the text.

I use feisty 7.04 beta with oss ati-drivers (upgraded from 6.10).
Ppracer does show, does work, but does not show text anymore, only the
top lines (2 pixels high) of most texts. This is odd behaviour to me,

After the crash, i ran the upgrader again, and it downloaded the
remaining packages (15mb was left of a total of 1.3gb). After the
download it installed all the packages, but on one of the last packages
("6 minutes left..") first i lost internet connection, then the screen

The nividia-legacy driver doesn't support desktop-effects, so that is the
expected behavior.
If you have one of the cards which support has been dropped on the latest
update, you can install the driver 9631, (which will be in Feisty), as you can
see in Bug #96430.

ooffice instead and shows always the systray icon.
I personally prefer the blue standard symbol with the birds but who cares if it

I have two LUKs volumes (via USB). If I only mount one at a time, everything
works, it gets mounted to /media/disk after asking for the passphrase (gnome).
But if I try to start the second disk while the first is still mounted, nothing
happens. I can mount the disk manually,

I have a problem on detecting my Cd-rom and Cd-rw
Fiesty Some times detect one of them and some times no

The hard disk is recognized as /dev/sda, but /dev/hda still exists
I'm was seeing the same behavior with the 7.04 Beta CD on a DELL 410 laptop. I
did the update/install
as suggested which solved the problem.

About reproducibility: this was the first time that it happened. I'll give

i don't know why, but in ~20% causes desktop-cd boot when manualy change
resolution (from VGA -> 1600-1200) & language
