2.0rc3 works perfectly for me in Feisty!! I removed 915resolution and
the normal i810 driver, then switched the laptop off to make extra sure.
It worked like a charm :-)
I did not reconfigure X though, so I'm still using the old xorg.conf
file. I'm assuming that that's ok.

Success! .. I backported drivers/bluetooth/bcm203x.c from 2.6.20 to
2.6.18 and recompiled the module within the 2.6.20 source. My BT-120
device is back online in fiesty!
I'll attach a diff here of what I did, it's very straight forward.

I can also confirm this, Feisty Beta. Additionally, if public key
authorization is enabled, opening a file over SSH simply hangs
OpenOffice until the ssh process is killed.

regarding sun-java5-plugin, on amd64, obviously, I don't have it as
there's no such thing (same thing for java6). On i386, I have sun-
java5-{bin,jre,plugin} 1.5.0-11-1ubuntu1 installed. I don't think the
plugin package is relevant to my problem as it's -bin that is used.

As far as I can tell, the intended manpage is called match rather than
star-match.
Marking this as bitesize. Fixing it is just a case of either editing the star.1
manpage, or renaming the match manpage to star-match, and checking that there
aren't any other incorrect references.

There's a lot that's difficult to understand and I certainly don't
understand enough to make any real comment accept that all problems
disappear on both Win Xp and UBuntu when I connect to the wireless router
with a wire !
OK at least the logic implies it can't be UBuntu specific.

Sorry for my complicated instructions, it went a bit wrong :) You should
take 0.6-1ubuntu1 sources, then _apply_ with patch -p1 the second to
last patch on top of it (modifies debian/patches), then _put_ the last
patch (03) in debian/patches, and there you'd have the correct upload.

where do you find this? I mean where is uved logging this shit? I
searched an hour, even tried enabling logging in udev (from err to
debug) an still couldnt find the log :(
