Strange, if there is no /usr/share/applications/bittornado.desktop file than
there shouldn't be a menu entry.
Do you have a bittornado.desktop file anywhere in your filesystem?
If you have Gnome you can also check with System->Preferences->Main Menu
to which icon file the menu entry is pointing.
The updater crash before it completed. The apt.log file is attached.
konq-kim is a particular package that had a problem and I couldn't get
to install later either. I was forced to remove it.
A couple other comments. When I click to hide the terminal display, the
window doesn't get resized smaller
It happened with a document I imported from MS Word which had blue
textbackground (text markings) and thus was the text inside white so
one could see this text. After I imported this text to openoffice.org
and I changed the text background the text didn't change color. That

I agree with Brian: I have an GeForce4 MX and only the 96xx drivers
series can work with that card.
I have tested the nvidia-glx-legacy (71xx series) and it don't work with
my video card.
We need a special version of nividia-glx drivers (with the 96xx series)

Moreover, wacom driver >= 0.7.4 is necessary for usb tablet to be
hotpluggable. At the moment in Ubuntu, if you unplug your USB tablet
then plug it again, you have to restart X. 0.7.4 was already out when
Dapper shipped.

I had installed additional themes. After changing wallpaper I wanted to
see what it looked like with different themes. After about 5-6 changes
all applets began crashing, was unable to turn off firefox. Had so many

Still no luck after restarting the machine. I do not see any pinhelper
or passkey-agent process (tried 'ps aux |grep pin' and 'ps aux |grep
pass'). When is the pin helper started? How can I start it by hand?

However, USB users still have a problem.
As far as I understand, serial users have /dev/wacom created by wacom-
tools, so everything should be fine for them.
However, USB users have /dev/input/wacom created by udev, instead of
/dev/wacom.
If we end up keeping /dev
We may not be able to do this for feisty as we are in string freeze
already.

I have the same problem with a manual configuration and 2 nics on
separate networks.
The following started working after uninstalling network-manager
auto lo
