I'm using the Adept Manager for updates and have edgy-proposed in my
/etc/apt/sources.list. I had some invalid repositories listed here and
when I edited it, this error didn't arise anymore - thanks for the
advice.
Nevertheless the upgrade process did not succeed. I reported the bug as

I have now tried fiesty beta and the fix does not work for my laptop.
ASUS W2V with x700 card. The laptop screen is still turned off and video
output to the vga connector. In addition the beta doesn't give me a
console I can drop out to, so I have no workaround either.

There are known compatibility issues upstream with the currently
packaged Ubuntu Edgy version of eGroupware (1.2-105) when using
Postgresql 8.1. The upstream verson 1.2-106 should fix these problems.
