Unfortunately, I am *not* able to reproduce this by taking the following steps:
- apt-get update (and wait for updates)
- save the VirtualBox session
- reopen the VirtualBox session
Apparently, this is not the correct way to reproduce the bug but others
(Stuart Langridge) confirm this on Edgy too.

Tried it now on the same laptop with Feisty Beta.
The machine doesn't crash, but nothing happened - i.e., the card was apparently
not recognized.

I use a Intel mac mini running MacOSX 10.4.9 and Parallels 3188.
My 7.04 beta desktop i386 CD will boot the mac Mini and run Ubuntu off the CD.

It sounds like the installer may have crashed in the background if it
never got past the Migrate Documents and Settings page.
Could you run the installer again using the --debug option and attach
/var/log/installer/debug and /var/log/syslog to this but report? Detailed

I was able to get the exact same issue. I will try with upstream 3.0
firefox but i think its the site that your using. You are right though

With my HP Compaq nx6320 I was having issues with the keyboard usually
not working after a restore.
Adding the i8042 unbind before suspend and re-binding it on resume
appeasrs to have solved the problem for me. Well I have just suspended
to ram four times in a row, and I'm still able to type

I started adept and got informed there was a Feisty beta to upgrade to.
I started the upgrade process and when the upgrade process came to the
configuration of the openssl package it just hang there.
I restarted the PC and gave an "apt-get -f up
Here is my experience with the i810 driver (ThinkPad X41) and a dell
2007WFP 1680x1050 monitor.
With the standard i810 driver i can get the native resolution by using a
modeline but the picture is not aligned and blurry.
With the i810 modesetting driver haven't managed to get anything else then
