Later version of gdebi are split into gdebi-core and gdebi.

tauberc: Do you have the issue with Dapper final? If yes, could you try
with Feisty Herd5 to see if it is fixed. Bug #48113 had similar issues
but worked with Dapper final

I remember seeing similar bugs closed recently. It should not do like
that on Feisty, you could try (Herd5 or a daily livecd) and reopen if
you still get display corruption.

kubuntu doesn't have xinput-all_ALL by default. It's created by scim
and im-switch post installs. Kubuntu has neither installed by default.
I think Ubuntu only has scim installed by default. Maybe the scim post
install code should be moved to somewhere common such as libscim8c2a, or
maybe skim s
