Although it works perfectly in Windows, in Kubuntu I need to put the DNS
servers in /etc/resolv.conf. Otherwise, it will be overwritten by DHCP
with the value:
nameserver 192.168.1.1
which doesn't work.
I prevented /etc/resolv.conf from being overwritten by modifying
/etc/d

There is the command "gdebi" (installed by default) available to install
a deb with correct dependency resolution. For a GUI version there is
gdebi-gtk too. Its the default mime-handler for deb types.

When using hints for using gdb as described in the wiki with eds, it
does nothing but waiting for a crash, which does not occur. gdb keeps

As stated in the duplicate bug, the problem is the i8042 keyboard driver
that is built into the kernel. If the driver is compiled as a module and
removed before suspend along with the psmouse module, suspend works.

Can confirm too. It appears that the driver used has changed between
kernels, the legacy driver worked fine bar the Network Manager issue. We
are now getting the rt2x00 driver for rt2500 cards, and probably others,
have not found a way to connect yet.

Installed ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 version 1.30-1ubuntu1 and got the
ndiswrapper kernelmodule loaded (I had to blacklist the rt2570

I'm using vncviewer through rdesktop.
There's also another tedious bug but I guess this is a rdesktop problem.
Whenever you close your VNC session in rdesktop, a message box pops up saying
"An error has occured, Will reconnect in 30 seconds".
And it would prompt for

Last kernel update don't resolve this bug:
I tried again to recompile the source, adding the option CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND=y

Integrated intel sound on toshiba laptop stopped working after upgrading to
kernel 2.6.20-11. No error messages, just silence.
Rebooting with 2.6.20-10 and it works fine!

That's not realy a bug. When you have a broadcom wlan interface, you
have two options:
1) using windows drivers with ndiswrapper
2) using thopen source drivers
When choosing the second option, you have to install bc43xx-fwcutter and
extract the firmware. Because the firmware is not and cant be (b
