Yes, /media/usbdisk is a mounted USB device, and the mount point is a
directory 'fs' within this.
I've done some more checking and I don't believe this is related to the
problem. The problem appears to be related to mount/umount and the use
of loop devices.
My mount line represents the following:
g-a-i will no longer crash when it encouters invalid argeuments but
return a proper error exit code. There still seems to be a problem with
totem that calls the wrong codecs.

We are encountering the following bug as well. Every now and then 2 ipp
processes keep running on the cups server and eating 100% cpu time.
Stracing the processes show the following:

because I had already done that (I partitioned and formatted everything
before going into the Installer). I got things working by executing sudo

I wonder why you have seen this message at all. The automatic codec
install magic of totem/g-a-i should have openend a window with the right
codecs. Did that not happen for you?

Ok, I thought that profiles where stored somewhere. This is not the case
so clearly there is no safe way to implement my proposal.

1. Install Edgy.
2. Install TightVNCServer
3. Start a VNC server session and connect to your Edgy box from another
machine using a VNC client. (I've been using realVNC's client)

I've played the game Nexuiz for 30 sec and it worked fine but after 30 sec it
crashed.
The game whent down so i got the desktop window. My computer is a acer ferrari
3400+ with ati mobility 9700

I can reproduce this, but I think the problem is wider than just moving
forward / backwards with the panel icon.
It happens to me all the time, where Rhythmbox will finish playing one
song, move to the next and sit at 0:00. It thinks it is playing, but
