I forgot to mention: if I shut down "lalonde" then I can restore
"adt_feisty" just fine. I plan to get more memory (which this machine
could do with anyway) and with a bit of luck this will make my symptoms
go away. After I have done this I will report here.

OK, I did install libbtctl4-dbgsym libgnomebt0-dbgsym and
gnome-bluetooth-dbgsym. Then I did connect my phone and my computer via
bluetooth, and a crash came (see bug report).
So I did reboot and now it seems to work, I do not have any more crashes, and

Ok, most probably this is caused by the following:
mad and faad are currently registred to decode audio/mpeg. The former
can do "audio/mpeg, mpegversion=1", the latter "audio/mpeg,
mpegversion=[2,4]" though the latter part of each string is not saved in
the package datebase.

I agree with James. Also, if I understand correctly the upstream bug

Very nice indeed! Last night it wasn't working and with the most recent
batch of updates I got this morning its working on my system just by
plugging the camera into the USB port :)

I too of course have issues with this in edgy only. I was hoping for a
patch at some point, or even a method of editing the keyring manually.
I copied a feisty keyring to an edgy keyring, that worked fine as well.

I had the same problem when installing Herd 5, but I was able to enter
the mount point manually in the text entry, so I didn't have to do the
workaround.
But still, the options should be shown. I just wanted to second that.

The desktop effects worked with edgy and feisty since a few months.
Now, they doesn't work anymore. I tried with the Herd 5 Live CD and it was
possible to activate the effects.
