first i removed fglrx from the disabled modules in
/etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common
and then i installed fglrx

I'm closing this since it has been 6+ months since additional
information was requested and this information has not been supplied. Re
the comment made March 04, this may be more a support or documentation
issue than a bug. if there is a bug, then best to keep things clear and
have bug report that
Fixing status to match on all packages so this report drops from
searches.

Neither VMWare Workstation, nor 7zip is in the ubuntu repositories,
therefore we cant fix it.
